About Friends University
For more than 100 years, Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, has been providing a Christian-based, liberal-arts education for students of all ages and denominations. The University remains committed to its core curriculum— the arts and sciences. A broad-based education — one that truly expands the horizons and frees the mind — is our goal for every student. It is also expressed in our commitment to teaching and to the personal growth of each Friends University student. As a nondenominational Christian university, Friends incorporates learning within the context of the Christian faith.

Friends University Tuition/Financial Aid
The Financial Aid office assists students with every aspect of their financial aid process. Staff members evaluate students' financial aid files, issue award notices, process loan applications and are available to help students obtain information concerning outside scholarships.
Financial aid is available to students at all levels of their education:
Traditional undergraduates
Adult undergraduates enrolled in our PACE or DCP programs
Graduate studies
Types of aid available include loans, grants and scholarships — both from the state or federal government.
Friends University Faculty
Faculty members at Friends are skilled professionals who truly care about their students and support them in ways not found in many institutions. Because class sizes are smaller at a private institution, faculty members can provide personal attention to students who may have trouble grasping difficult concepts. Faculty also can use class discussions, student presentations, and hands-on learning to give students a competitive edge. Unlike some research-focused institutions, teaching and serving students is the faculty's main job. Friends does not use graduate students to teach classes.
Friends University Accreditation
Friends University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association, telephone (312) 263-0456.
